OUR STORY

ROOTED IN THE LAND

Mitchell Mills began with something we already had: a connection to the land and an appreciation for the oak growing on it. Our flooring is produced from timber sourced from family land in Mississippi—property that has remained connected to the Mitchell family for generations. Rather than treating the wood as a commodity, we stay involved throughout the process, from selecting timber and cutting logs to milling, grading, and preparing the finished boards.

Mitchell Mills is owned and operated by cousins Jordan Mitchell and Henry Wiener. Jordan’s background in forestry and Henry’s background in filmmaking and design bring different perspectives to the mill, but both share the same goal: to produce exceptional hardwood flooring with a character and history that mass-produced flooring simply cannot replicate. The result is solid, live-sawn oak flooring made in small quantities, with the natural variation, long lengths, grain and character that make real wood worth choosing in the first place.

01 THE WOODS

Timber selected from family land, where the story of each board begins.

02 THE SAWMILL

Logs are sawn into rough lumber, preserving the natural character of the oak.

03 THE FLOORING MILL

Rough boards are milled into flooring, shaped with precision and prepared for installation.

04 THE FLOOR

The result is oak flooring made to bring warmth, character, and longevity to a home.
